Fatal Rollover Crash in Civic Center, San Francisco

On Friday, June 13, 2025, a Flywheel taxi carrying two individuals—the driver and a passenger—overturned in a solo crash in San Francisco’s Civic Center neighborhood.

The incident occurred around 10:26 a.m. near Van Ness Avenue and Fell Street. Both occupants exited the vehicle before emergency crews arrived, and no major injuries were reported.

Video footage from the Citizen app showed the taxi flipped onto its roof. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash, but initial assessments suggest that drugs or alcohol were not involved.
